Atholton
(4-0) defeated Hammond (2-3), 35-28, in a dual
meet at Atholton. Atholton's first win over
Hammond since 2004.[From Flier 12/27/07] Malcolm Stennett (189), Mike Massarelli (215) and Brian Nance (285) are regarded as the best trio of heavyweights in the county. The decision to move Beck up to 112 was a risky one, but it paid off - Beck's win clinched the victory for Atholton, and it was one of the most exciting bouts of the match. Also key was Atholton's Dono James' decisive pin at 160. Kyle Werner (145) and Doug Carpenter (152) acted as stoppers, scoring Atholton's first eight points of the match. |
